Payment Methods
Payment Methods
This Payment Methods Policy explains how payments are accepted, processed, verified, and handled for orders placed through the Ridgeborne website. By placing an order with Ridgeborne, customers acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this policy.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Ridgeborne accepts the payment methods made available during checkout.
Available payment methods may vary depending on customer location, billing country or region, device type, currency, payment provider availability, fraud prevention requirements, and other operational factors.
The payment methods displayed at checkout are the official payment options currently available for the order. Ridgeborne does not guarantee that every payment method will be available for every customer, order, product, or destination.
2. Payment Authorization
When a customer places an order, the selected payment method may be authorized, charged, or otherwise verified through a secure third-party payment system.
An order is not considered successfully paid until the payment has been authorized or completed and Ridgeborne has received confirmation from the payment system.
If payment authorization fails, is declined, is cancelled, is reversed, or cannot be verified, Ridgeborne may be unable to process the order.
3. Secure Payment Processing
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment systems. Ridgeborne does not store full credit card numbers, complete card security codes, or full payment credentials on its own servers.
Payment information may be encrypted, tokenized, or otherwise handled by payment service providers in accordance with their security procedures and applicable payment industry standards.
Ridgeborne may receive limited payment-related information, such as transaction confirmation, payment status, billing details, payment method type, fraud prevention results, or refund status, where necessary to process orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
4. Currency and Pricing
Product prices, shipping fees, taxes, duties, discounts, and other charges may be displayed during checkout before the customer submits the order.
The final amount charged may depend on product price, shipping destination, selected shipping method, taxes, duties, promotional discounts, exchange rates, payment provider rules, or bank charges.
If currency conversion is involved, the final amount charged may be determined by the payment provider, card issuer, bank, digital wallet provider, or other financial institution. Exchange rates and foreign transaction fees may vary and are not controlled by Ridgeborne.
5. Taxes, Duties, and Additional Charges
Customers may be responsible for applicable taxes, import duties, customs fees, VAT, local charges, payment provider fees, bank fees, currency conversion fees, or other charges imposed by government authorities, banks, card issuers, payment providers, or logistics service providers.
Such charges may vary depending on customer location, payment method, shipping destination, product type, and applicable law.
Unless otherwise stated during checkout or required by law, such additional charges are the responsibility of the customer.
6. Payment Verification and Fraud Prevention
Ridgeborne may review, verify, hold, cancel, or refuse an order where payment information appears inaccurate, incomplete, suspicious, unauthorized, high-risk, or potentially fraudulent.
Verification may include review of billing details, shipping details, order history, payment authorization status, fraud screening results, customer communication, or other relevant information.
Ridgeborne may request additional information from the customer where reasonably necessary to verify payment or protect against fraud. Failure to provide requested information may result in order delay or cancellation.
7. Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment is declined or fails, the customer may need to use another valid payment method or contact the relevant bank, card issuer, digital wallet provider, or payment provider.
Ridgeborne is not responsible for payment failures caused by insufficient funds, incorrect payment details, expired cards, bank restrictions, security checks, payment provider errors, currency restrictions, regional limitations, or other issues outside Ridgeborne’s reasonable control.
8. Order Processing After Payment
Orders are generally processed after payment has been successfully authorized or completed.
Payment confirmation does not guarantee immediate shipment. Order processing may also depend on product availability, address verification, fraud prevention review, warehouse processing, holidays, carrier schedules, customs procedures, or other operational factors.
If an order cannot be fulfilled after payment has been received, Ridgeborne may cancel the order and issue a refund in accordance with applicable policies and laws.
9. Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the order, unless otherwise required by law or agreed by Ridgeborne.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, card issuer, bank, digital wallet provider, or other financial institution.
Ridgeborne is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, payment providers, or financial institutions after a refund has been submitted.
Original shipping fees, expedited shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, bank fees, payment provider fees, currency conversion fees, and other third-party charges may be non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law or unless the refund is caused by Ridgeborne’s error.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a customer believes there is an issue with an order, payment, delivery, product condition, return, exchange, or refund, the customer is encouraged to contact Ridgeborne first so the issue can be reviewed and resolved where possible.
Ridgeborne reserves the right to respond to chargebacks, payment disputes, unauthorized transaction claims, or payment reversals by providing order records, shipment records, delivery confirmation, customer communications, policy records, and other relevant evidence to the payment provider or financial institution.
Submitting a fraudulent, false, abusive, or misleading payment dispute may result in cancellation of orders, restriction of account access, refusal of future service, or other actions permitted by law.
11. Payment Errors
Ridgeborne reserves the right to correct payment, pricing, calculation, tax, shipping, or checkout errors where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
If an error affects an order, Ridgeborne may contact the customer, cancel the order, refund the payment, request additional payment, or provide another reasonable solution depending on the circumstances.
12. Promotional Discounts and Store Credit
Promotional discounts, coupon codes, gift cards, or store credit may be subject to additional terms, expiration dates, product exclusions, quantity limits, minimum order values, regional restrictions, and other conditions.
Only one promotional offer may apply per order unless otherwise stated.
Discounts, gift cards, store credit, or promotional values may not be redeemable for cash unless required by law.
13. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing information, using an authorized payment method, ensuring sufficient funds or credit availability, reviewing all charges before submitting an order, and complying with the terms of their bank, card issuer, digital wallet provider, or payment provider.
Customers should not submit orders using payment methods they are not authorized to use.
14. Legal Rights
This Payment Methods Policy does not limit any non-waivable rights customers may have under applicable consumer protection, payment, banking, or financial laws.
Where applicable law provides customers with rights that are different from or more favorable than this policy, Ridgeborne will comply with such legal requirements.
15. Updates to This Policy
Ridgeborne may update this Payment Methods Policy from time to time to reflect changes in payment options, checkout functionality, security practices, fraud prevention procedures, legal requirements, or business operations.
The updated policy will be posted on the Ridgeborne website. The version of the policy in effect at the time of purchase will generally apply to that order, unless otherwise required by law.
